As the producers of Two and a Half Men try to figure out what to do with their show, now that Charlie Sheen has officially been fired, John Stamos says they can forget about him taking the actor's place.
"It's really not part of my career plan right now," Stamos told Ryan Seacrest Friday. "I'm just on a different trajectory."
And, though it seems very unlikely that Sheen will find his way back into the hearts of CBS and his now-former boss Chuck Lorre, Stamos is pulling for him.
"Charlie's great on that show and people love Charlie," he said. "I hope it works out and I hope he goes back and I hope people get the show they love."
While former ER star has been guest-starring on FOX's smash hit Glee, with a recurring a role as guidance counselor Emma Pillsbury's (Jayma Mays) new hubby, Stamos seems to be ready for something bigger.
"I'm ready to have my own show," he said. "I don't want to replace anyone, especially Charlie Sheen."
Proving over the years that he's extremely likable and talented, we agree that Stamos needs a show of his own. If CBS does find an actor to replace Sheen in Two and a Half Men, expectations are going to be so high that it's practically a recipe for disaster. We think Stamos deserves a lot better -- and we're glad he thinks so too.
